The secret of Duchess Camilla's series counterpart should now be revealed: Emerald Fennell will be seen alongside Josh O'Conner, who plays Prince Charles, as reported by the US magazine "Harper's Bazaar".
In the third season of the series "The Crown", which retells the history of the British royal family, there will be a time jump to the 60s and 70s. That's why it will also be about the first encounters between Camilla Parker Bowles and Prince Charles. The two had an affair during Charles' marriage to Princess Diana and only later became a couple. The wedding followed in 2005. Emerald Fenell is set to play Camilla in the Netflix series. The cast are said to have revealed pictures from the set that have now surfaced and show Fennell in front of the camera alongside Josh O'Connor aka Prince Charles. The scene is said to be the encounter between the two at the 1975 polo match in Windsor.

33-year-old Fennell made a name for herself primarily through her roles in the series "Call The Midwife" and films such as "The Danish Girl" or "Anna Karenina". Fenell has not yet been officially confirmed by Netflix. Other roles are certain for season three: Olivia Colman takes over the role of Queen Elizabeth II from Claire Foy, Tobias Menzies replaces Matt Smith as Prince Philip. And Helena Bonham Carter slips into the role of Princess Margaret instead of Vanessa Kirby. The role of Queen Mum has also been cast for the third season. Actress Marion Bailey will take on the role.
