With his album "YHLQMDLG" he also delivers the most successful album of the year. The Weeknd's song "Blinding Lights" ranked number one among the most streamed songs internationally. The most-streamed artist is singer-songwriter Billie Eilish for the second year in a row.
Rap and hip-hop continue to dominate
In Germany, the picture is the same as last year: rap and hip-hop continue to have a firm grip on the streaming charts. Led by Capital Bra, the top five most-streamed artists are all occupied by rap acts. The most streamed album is "Staircase" by Apache 207. The Weeknd also takes the title as the most-streamed song in Germany with "Blinding Lights".
