The 43-year-old actress revealed she was diagnosed with endometriosis, which led to her undergoing years of in vitro fertilization treatments. She suffered five miscarriages and admits it was hard for her to accept the possibility that she might never have a child. Jaime told 'E! News': "It was awful. It was humiliating. It was painful. I felt like something was broken inside me. I think women are taught that our ability to bear and carry a child is the only reason, why we are here."
Endometriosis is a condition in which the lining of the uterus grows outside the uterus, causing pain and fertility problems. The 'Sin City' actress says her he alth issue caught her by surprise as she spent years trying to get a proper diagnosis, seeing nine doctors before finally receiving a verdict. Jaime now insists that other women suffering from diseases like endometriosis need to be better informed."It is totally unacceptable that you spend years and years and years of your life suffering because there is no education, no awareness.or they don't know until it's too late and they're in the ER because a cyst has ruptured and their stomach is filling with fluid. That's insane," said Jaime.
King is now a mother to two sons, James and Leo, whom she is raising with ex-husband Kyle Newman.
