"Red Roses" gets a new pair! Lucy Hellenbrecht and Lucas Bauer are part of the upcoming 20th season, as Das Erste has announced. The former "Germany's Next Top Model" candidate and the actor will play as Nici and Finn in the Daily Novela. Hellenbrecht is expected to appear for the first time at the end of May, Bauer then at the end of June.

"Look forward to Nici, a young, self-confident horse owner and proud daughter of the heroine," teases Hellenbrecht on Instagram."And who is this young, good-looking man next to me? Can young love hold up when it suddenly becomes known that you weren't born a biological woman?"
Nici is Sandra's daughter, played by Theresa Hübchen. In Lüneburg she meets Finn, the son of Sandra's partner Bernd, who is returning home after a semester abroad. It's love at first sight, but Nici misses the moment to tell Finn she's trans. He withdraws and doesn't understand why Nici didn't confide in him sooner. Will love finally prevail?
The "Rote Rosen" team promises at least "new exciting stories, secrets, drama and lots of love" on Instagram. The new season is scheduled to start on May 31, 2022.
