Morena Baccarin's acting career began shortly after the turn of the millennium with roles in the feature films 'Perfume' and 'Sex for Beginners'.
In 'Way Off Broadway' she also played her first leading role in 2002 and was promptly rewarded with an award for 'Best Actress' at the 'Wine Country Film Festival'. Shortly thereafter, Baccarin joined the cast of the science fiction series 'Firefly - The Dawn of Serenity', in which she embodied the character 'Inara Serra' until 2003. She also starred in the spin-off film 'Serenity' in 2005.
Small engagements on various TV series followed, such as voice acting for 'Justice League' and as an actress in 'O. C., California' and 'How I Met Your Mother' before Morena Baccarin had a recurring one in 2006 role in 'Stargate - Commando SG-1'. The character of 'Adria', who she also played in the 'Stargate' film 'The Ark of Truth', brought the actress a higher profile, especially among science fiction fans.
Other stations in her career to date include the films 'Death in Love' and 'Stolen Lives' as well as the television series 'V - The Visitors', in which Baccarin played 'Anna' from 2009 to 2011 was seen.
In the drama series 'Homeland' she then mimed 'Jessica Brody' for a total of 29 episodes. Since 2015 she has also played the 'Dr. Leslie Thompkins' in the crime series 'Gotham'. Morena Baccarin has been nominated for numerous major awards, including the Saturn Award for Best TV Supporting Actress for 'V - The Visitors' and the Emmy for Best Supporting Actress for 'Homeland'.
