Will Selena Gomez have her next big movie project anytime soon? According to Variety, the actress and singer could take over the production of a reboot of US comedy Women's Arms. In the classic film by director Mike Nichols from 1988, Melanie Griffith played the protagonist Tess McGill alongside Harrison Ford and Sigourney Weaver.
According to the report, Gomez is currently in final negotiations with film production company 20th Century Studios. The reinterpretation could then be published on Hulu, which is also where Gomez's hit series Only Murders in the Building is currently running. The script was written by Ilana Pena.

The US comedy from the 80s is about the secretary Tess McGill, who takes over the office in Manhattan after her boss Katharine broke her leg on a skiing holiday. But when she comes up with a compelling idea, Katharine tries to get the credit for it and introduces it to her business partner Jack Trainer as her own.
The strip proved to be a huge hit at the time, grossing more than $100 million at the box office. It also won an Oscar for Best Song and received five other nominations.
