The 'Only Murders in the Building' actress walked Sunday's red carpet in a black velvet Oscar De La Renta dress embellished with Bulgari gemstones, beneath a white gold Serpenti necklace with two shaped emeralds and diamonds totaling 37.04 carats and a platinum ring with a Colombian emerald totaling 9.89 carats.
Selena's stylist Kate Young was delighted with the beauty's finished look and told The Hollywood Reporter: "We really wanted it to be a lot of jewelry and [the ring] is a big emerald. Combined with the velvet, the look feels really grand and over the top and interesting." Kate, whose clients include stars Margot Robbie, Sophie Turner and Dakota Johnson, explained that she prefers not to ask the designers, but always to find "the best dress for the best girl". Young added: "Oscar de la Renta didn't do a traditional runway show, but even if they did, would people know if people have ever seen a dress seen, that's none of my business. I'm not interested in asking a designer to make a custom dress only to have it custom made. I think it's important that clothes are related to what's on the runway. My job is to make the most of what's available on the runway."
