Luke Perry's former 'Beverly Hills, 90210' co-stars have spoken out following reports of a stroke. The US celebrity portal "TMZ" had reported that the "Riverdale" star was in the hospital.
Shannen Doherty then wrote on Instagram: "My friend. I'll hold you tight and give you my strength. You can do this". She also posted an old photo from the series showing her and Perry hugging. The two played the dream couple Brenda and Dylan in "Beverly Hills, 90210".
Co-stars pray for Perry
"No words can express how I feel after hearing the shocking news. Let's all say a prayer for his speedy recovery," Ian Ziering wrote on Instagram for a photo of him Kisses Luke Perry on the cheek.
Molly Ringwald, Perry's 'Riverdale' co-star, also took to social media to wish him a speedy recovery: "Sending my love to Luke Perry," she wrote on Twitter.
Actress Kristy Swanson, who starred with Perry in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, was also shocked: "I just heard the terrible news that my dear old friend Luke Perry has passed a had a severe stroke. Luke I am praying so much for you now, I love you so much and with God's help you will get through this. Please pray for Luke."
Perry is currently fighting for his life
Perry is currently being observed by doctors in the hospital after suffering a massive stroke, a rep for the actor confirmed to US magazine "People" magazine. According to "TMZ" he is said to have been put into an artificial coma.
