The Pirelli calendar is coming back after its Corona break - the photos for it are provided by the musician Bryan Adams. According to media reports, artists such as Cher, Rita Ora, Iggy Pop, Jennifer Hudson, St. Vincent and Grimes posed in front of his camera. The calendar's theme appears to be "On The Road" and is intended to show the stars in typical scenes on tour.
He has been touring "for 45 years," Adams said on the subject, according to the Evening Standard, "because a musician's life includes roads, travel, waiting in hotels, hours behind the stage."The calendar is scheduled to be released in November and will also feature Normani, Bohan Phoenix, Saweetie and Kali Uchis, the Guardian reports.
Bryan Adams also photographed the Queen
Bryan Adams has been pursuing his passion behind the camera for years. He has already had celebrities like Amy Winehouse, Mick Jagger and even Queen Elizabeth II in front of his lens. His pictures have been published in magazines such as "Vogue", "GQ" or "Harper's Bazaar". Adams has also published a number of books featuring his work.
The Pirelli calendar, also called "The Cal", has been published since 1964 and is considered a collector's item. Year after year, Pirelli hires great photographers: Helmut Newton, Karl Lagerfeld, Peter Lindbergh and Annie Leibovitz have already been behind the camera for the calendar. In 2021 there was no new Pirelli calendar due to the corona pandemic. Instead, the tire manufacturer has 100.000 euros donated to virus research.
