The 40-year-old actor portrays Poe Dameron in the franchise but doesn't feel like an insider in the films because the sci-fi franchise is a cultural phenomenon owned by the fans.
Asked if 'Star Wars' would have changed him, Oscar told Variety magazine: "Yeah, even with that third movie and you know what I mean because there's a lot of people who really like the character, it's very difficult to have any kind of ownership over it because it's such a cultural phenomenon."'Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker' is the final chapter of the main franchise, which was started in 1977 by George Lucas with the episode 'Episode IV - A New Hope'. Oscar revealed that it was a strange feeling, to be a part of the end of such an iconic film series.
Talking about the influence that lifelong 'Star Wars' fan J. J. Abrams, who directed 'The Force Awakens' and 'The Rise of Skywalker,' and others have had an affinity for the franchise, the performer added, "It's fascinating to see all these little kids who are 'Star Wars' and loved it so much and now they're grown and now they're even happier about it - are the ones who rule the world." Oscar stars on the big screen alongside Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Mark Hamill and Anthony Daniels in this week's blockbuster.
