Sarah Engels is traveling with her family. During a stopover in Los Angeles, son Alessio wanted to take a very special souvenir with him. The mother of two used this to allow herself a little joke with the seven-year-old, which he promptly fell for.
Engels family: Stopover in Los Angeles
Shortly after their first camper tour through Switzerland and Italy, the family of four is already traveling again. The destination this time: Honolulu. But before continuing to Hawaii, the Engels family was able to spend a day in Los Angeles.
And of course they really wanted to take advantage of it despite the jet lag. In bright sunshine, the people of Cologne strolled through Santa Monica and also made a stop at the famous pier of the coastal city. There, a wild ride on the carousel provided mum and son with a real adrenaline rush. But that's not all!

Alessio: "Doesn't look so bad now"
At one stand, Alessio wanted to have a henna tattoo painted as a souvenir. Of course, after his Pokemon birthday party, Pikachu should also decorate his arm in proper style. But Mama Sarah couldn't resist a little joke. "Are you afraid it'll hurt?" Sarah asked her son in mock concern, explaining that the needle would be a little painful. "Needle?!" Her son exclaimed in horror, but Sarah had to laugh. "Gave him a quick shock," the mom of two laughed.
