The 23-year-old singer postponed some of his concerts earlier this month to focus on his mental he alth, but has now confirmed on social media that the tour has been canceled entirely as he wants to prioritize his well-being.
In a message to his fans, Shawn wrote on his Instagram account: "As you know I've had to reschedule the shows for the last few weeks as I wasn't fully prepared for how challenging it would be to get back on I started this tour excited to finally be able to play live again after a long hiatus due to the pandemic, but the reality is I wasn't at all ready for how difficult touring was going to be after this time. As I continued to speak to my team and work with an incredible group of he althcare professionals, I've realized that I need to take the time that I personally never took to ground myself and come back stronger." The The 'Stitches' hitmaker continued: "Unfortunately I have to cancel the remaining tour dates in North America and UK/Europe. We had hopes that after some much-needed time off I might be able to continue with the rest of the dates, but at this point I have to put my he alth first." Shawn, however, assured fans he would keep making music, admitting, that it breaks his heart to abandon those who already have tickets to the concerts.
