Philipp Stehler hopes that intestinal diseases will no longer be a taboo subject. That's why the ex-"Bachelorette" participant speaks openly about his ulcerative colitis and even wrote the book "My gut is not an ass" about his medical history. Officially at his side since December 2020: girlfriend Vanessa. After his last serious intestinal surgery, Philipp was released from the hospital earlier than planned because Vanessa had offered to take care of him at home. Getting to know each other under extremely difficult conditions
In the VIPstagram talk with Tanja Bülter, Philipp Stehler tells how he and Vanessa met. In the first lockdown of 2020, he sat around at home and "hung out a little more on social media". Then he discovered Vanessa on Instagram – and wrote to her.
Sounds easy, but it was a giant step for Philipp, because at that time he still had an intestinal sac. Not exactly sexy. When he found out that he was going to have an artificial anus, "a world collapsed for him," admits 33-year-old Tanja Bülter. "Getting to know each other under extremely difficult conditions," Philipp describes the first time with Vanessa. But he dared to open up to her and they got to know each other better and better."She's the first woman I've let close to me," enthuses Philipp. He also didn't mind that Vanessa is a bit taller than him.
Vanessa and Philipp make plans for the future together
Philipp raves that he and Vanessa "completely complement each other" and have the same sense of humor. She adds: "We are very similar."
The couple are already making plans for the future. When Tanja Bülter asked where Philipp and Vanessa see each other in five years, he says "somewhere in the country, far away from stress." According to Vanessa, this also includes children. Sounds like a happy ending.
