Shock for ex-'Brosis' singer Indira Weis: The 30-year-old was arrested when entering the United States and had to spend a night in the airport jail. The reason: She is said to have given incorrect information about her reason for staying.
"The officials claimed that I wanted to work for a German TV station in the USA without a work permit. I just wanted to spend a nice week with a friend in Miami," Indira told 'Bild.de'. Only the following day was the former pop star released and put on a plane heading home.
"They treated me like a criminal. In my cell there were only a couch, a sink and a toilet. I was only allowed to take my toothbrush with me," complains the singer. "In the end I was nervous and exhausted and just cried." Indira has now engaged her lawyer and wants to take legal action against the arrest and deportation. With her mobile phone, which she secretly smuggled in her underpants, she documented her stay in prison.
You could almost feel sorry for that if you didn't have the impression that the singer is just trying to get into the headlines by any means necessary. Because when you're in really bad shape, the last thing you do is photograph yourself from all angles in your misery.
