Lukas Podolski tested positive for the corona virus and is now in quarantine. The soccer star confirmed this to the RTL broadcaster. "Unfortunately, it got to me. I have Corona and unfortunately I have to go into quarantine first," he explains. Podolski has "no symptoms". "I'm actually feeling the same as the last few weeks and months," clarifies the 36-year-old.
It hurts him that he is now missing "Das Supertalent", "which I was really looking forward to". Filming of the 15th season of the show, in which Lukas Podolski sits at the jury desk, only recently began in Cologne. "I had a lot of fun," says the kicker, who is currently under contract with Polish club Górnik Zabrze. "That's going away for now and that's bitter. But life goes on."
RTL will announce shortly how the show will continue after the soccer player's positive corona test. The new season is scheduled to start in fall 2021.
