Victoria Beckham is the proud mother of four children. Her sons Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz are mostly grown and living their lives. It's different with her little daughter Harper. In an interview with Australian Vogue, the ex-Spice Girl reveals that her youngest is "banned from social media" at home. The reason: Victoria is afraid that Harper could be bodyshamed.
Social Media Gives Victoria Beckham a Headache
"People can be so nasty," says Victoria Beckham, explaining her decision not to allow her little daughter to use social media platforms. She wants to protect her daughter from the influence of the many pictures and comments. "She's at the age when bodies are changing, but it's important to me that we communicate a lot as a family and that she surrounds herself with nice friends," she explains in the interview.
The fashion designer also reports on a study that found that 40 per cent of girls aged 11-16 in the UK feel uncomfortable about their bodies, especially after they have been in contact with the social media world. She definitely doesn't want that for her daughter: "It really scares me, I can't lie."
While Victoria Beckham has spent her life trying to maintain her perfect figure, even her body image has changed.
Daughter Harper will remain a child for now

But the 11-year-old is still a child through and through, reports Mama Victoria with relief: "She's not one of those kids who goes out with a full make-up look and a crop top." On the contrary, "The other day, Victoria has to justify herself to her critical daughter. "The other day she said to me, 'Mom, I saw photos of you in the Spice Girls and your skirts were just not acceptable. They were way too short,'" the singer says with a smile. Husband David Beckham has apparently agreed with his baby daughter: "Full Harper, they really were!"
It's still in the stars what fashion taste Harper will develop herself, but right now she's made a firm decision: "She'll definitely not wear skirts like that!".
