The 48-year-old singer says her parents, friends and siblings are all a part of the band, which would resemble a chaotic "rascals".

The artist explained to 'The People': "We're one big dysfunctional family. No matter what anyone says. Our relationship goes beyond the five of us because our parents are friends and our siblings are friends. The Spice Girls are not just a girl band. It's like one giant Spice family. And the beauty is that everyone has their own lives and careers and responsibilities, but we're always there for each other. We may not get the chance to see each other as often as we would like, but we still have that sisterly bond. It's never going to go away." The musician added that her daughter Scarlet and the children of her bandmates Mel B, Victoria Beckham, Emma Bunton and Geri Halliwell are all friends: "A lot of our kids are the same age now, so they are too all friends - that's wonderful. I hope they end up being as close as we are." Her daughter's father is Mel C's ex-partner Thomas Starr, and she splits her time between London, Liverpool and Los Angeles with music executive Joe Marshall, with whom she has been in a relationship for seven years.
