Maite Kelly performed in the "ZDF-Fernsehgarten" this Sunday. At her first appearance after the death of her sister Barby, the singer paid tribute to the deceased family member with her outfit. The musician announced what the baby blue skirt was all about before her performance with her song "Einfach Hello" in an Instagram post.
Barby Kelly died on April 15 at the age of 45 after a short illness. The family announced this on Facebook a few days later."Just like Barby was the one who always straightened my blouse as a child and braided the bow in my hair, I will make myself as beautiful as possible for the stage that day," explains Maite Kelly in her current post, despite to go on the ZDF stage in mourning.
So she asked her beloved seamstress to sew her a ballerina-style skirt - "as a tribute to my mum and to Barby, because they were both ballerinas. And so will my mum's words on her deathbed accompany me forever: 'Keep on singing!'" writes Maite Kelly in her post. Her whole family always sang with all their hearts and passed on the joy of life on stage. "I'm a bit more fragile at this time, but you give me the courage I need now."
This was the start in the "ZDF TV Garden"
