After Mark Medlock was named Germany's new superstar in 2007, it became quiet in 2020 about Dieter Bohlen's former protégé. He now lives in seclusion on Sylt. He even gave a big comeback concert right there in February 2020. All signs pointed to a new beginning, but now Medlock announces on Facebook that music no longer has a big place in his life. Everything about it is in the video above.

Mark Medlock: "I'm not interested in music anymore!"
It was supposed to be his big comeback concert. In February 2020, after more than 10 years of TV abstinence, Mark Medlock wanted to present himself to a large audience again and do what he once made it to the top of the German charts: singing. Mark's concert on Sylt was a success, but he revealed that he actually had completely different plans for the evening: "I actually wanted to officially quit my job today!" But: "That was so awesome! I feel like I've been revived. And I'm definitely starting over right now!"
A few months later this music hysteria seems to have vanished. On May 4th, Medlock turned to his fans on Facebook and announced that he would close all social media sites and not give music any more space in his life. Mark Medlock writes: "I have all the support you could ask for, but I know one thing and I am absolutely certain that I am no longer interested in music."
Shortly after Mark's emotional post on Facebook, he has already put his plan into action and deleted his social media pages.
