It is Princess Charlène's first official business trip since her protracted illness. Visited Norway with Prince Albert and their children Jacques and Gabriella to honor Albert's deceased great-grandfather. But after the first public appearances, she now shines more with her absence. Is her he alth to blame?
Princess Charlène is missing in Norway after a public kiss
The entire Monegasque royal family made an appearance at a joint lunch with the Norwegian royal family and a subsequent museum opening. Charlène and Albert were even unusually intimate and exchanged a loving kiss. But after this appointment, the Princess was not sighted again.
So she is said to have been missing from the unveiling of a bronze bust of Albert I at the Norwegian Polar Institute. Prince Albert only came accompanied by his children. She was also absent from a subsequent private cruise aboard a ship through the waters of the Svalbard archipelago. As the magazine "El Confidencial" reports, these are said to have been short-term changes to the plan, because Charlène was actually also scheduled for the appointments.
Is the trip too much for Charlène?
According to "Gala.de", the palace has not yet commented on whether Charlene's absence is related to her state of he alth. However, Charlène recently admitted in an interview that she was still very weak and did not want to rush anything."The road was long, difficult and so painful," she openly admitted. So it's quite possible that it was decided at short notice that the Princess should rather rest a little more.
Charlène was initially stuck in her native South Africa for months due to an ear, nose and throat illness and was only able to return to Monaco in November 2021 because a flight was allegedly not possible. After her return, she then checked straight into a Swiss clinic, where she spent several months. She has only been back with her family in Monaco since March.
