Before his great-grandmother's day of honor, little Prince Louis was little in the public eye - unlike his older siblings Prince George and Princess Charlotte. The sudden hubbub surrounding the 4-year-old prince came as a complete surprise to the British royal family. Royal expert Ingrid Seward is certain: The Duchess should worry about how much the focus is now on the youngest offspring of Duchess Kate and her husband Prince William.
In general, Kate and William probably want to try to give their mini royals a relatively normal and grounded childhood. They therefore choose their public appearances with their kids carefully. Royal expert Richard Kay also believes that William deliberately wants his children to grow up differently. He himself was in the limelight from an early age and has thus experienced the downsides firsthand.
It remains to be seen whether Kate and William will keep little Louis out of the public eye again in the future.
