The 23-year-old son of David and Victoria Beckham was released from Arsenal's academy at the age of 16 and Brooklyn admits it's been hard putting aside a possible playing career.

Brooklyn - whose father was England captain and also played for top teams like Manchester United and Real Madrid - told Variety: "My father wasn't sad. He said, 'I just want you to be happy.' But of course I was sad. Soccer has been my whole life since I was "Image" literally two years.”

Brooklyn has since found a new passion for cooking and the London-born star would love to one day open a pub on the US West Coast. He said: "I would love to have my own pub. I would like my own sauces, knives, pots and pans. Not like a chef - I will always learn more about cooking. I want to have as many TV shows and hopefully one day open a pub in LA because LA needs a pub.” Brooklyn is also interested in having a “big family” with his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham. And Nicola is equally enthusiastic about the idea. The 27-year-old actress shared, "We have no plans to have children in the next year. But we would like to have a big family one day. We would love to have some of our own and we would love to adopt."
