After there was talk of a "serious anoxic brain injury" in the case of the accident actress Anne Heche, her spokesman has now expressed the sad fear. Heche is "brain dead" as quoted by The Washington Post.
Previously it has been said that the "Six Days, Seven Nights" star is not expected to survive. Her family and her doctors have already made arrangements for organ donation. This is also the reason why the 53-year-old is still connected to life-support machines.
"Anne had a huge heart and touched everyone she met with her generous spirit. Even more than her extraordinary talent, she made it her mission to spread kindness and joy," her rep continues quoted.
Drived under the influence?
Shortly after the horrific accident in which her Mini Cooper crashed into a house in the Mar Vista neighborhood of Los Angeles and burst into flames, speculation arose as to whether the actress was driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
A blood test has now shown that Heche consumed cocaine before her crash. However, she should not have been drunk. This is reported by the US celebrity portal "TMZ", citing sources in the law enforcement agencies. It is currently being investigated whether Heche may have also consumed the painkiller fentanyl. According to a Los Angeles Police Department insider, both substances were found in her blood.
