Prince William and Duchess Kate are known to have met while studying at the University of Scotland. At first the two were just friends. Nevertheless, Kate is said to have "played" William's girlfriend at the time. What one does not do for a shy prince. In the video, we show how Kate literally threw herself at William at a university party to save him from a flirting emergency.
Prince William just couldn't get rid of an annoying admirer - until Kate came
Royal expert Katie Nicholl also spoke to Duchess Kate's friend Laura Warshauer for her book "Kate: The Future Queen". She is said to have remembered a funny anecdote from her university days. Kate and William had only been studying together for a month at the time. The prince was hit on by a girl at a party - and couldn't get rid of the annoying admirer. Luckily, Kate recognized the plight her new classmate was in at the time and rushed to the shy prince's rescue - by posing as William's girlfriend.
William and Kate probably laughed their heads off about the situation later. Hehe, she really thought we were together, giggle. Until they stop laughing because Cupid's arrow actually hit the mark. Eventually Kate didn't have to pretend anymore.
